To which put they then admitted they ran out of maps. I asked them to show me where on thaf offer it provides any such info. And I was told that it's all on the paper I was given. I asked for some info or guidance what is available and where. They simply seemed shocked anyone even stepped into the shop. Guest services is closed and one is redirected to the ships where the staff were rude from the moment I walked in. I went to guest services to ask to see a layout. We were given a small piece of paper with times for various shows, but no info where these are. There is no map of the park and no info given about the layout and facilities. Absolutely koone keeps distance, and the booked times mean nothing because noone leaves. Once in the park there is zero controls for covid. As for booked time slots due to covid, these are totally ignored by the staff and seem more like a marketing ploy to give the impression of needing to rush to book. One needs to summon deep Canadian patience and politeness. And the way most people drove, stopping in the middle of the road to change diapers, stopping for 7 mins to exclusively look at the lions and block others, again hogging the giraffes from themselves. I thought that in a game reserve environment, driving through, that we would see more. The park does not have that many animals and viewing them from rhe car is not nearly as impressive as the Toronto Zoo. We had high hopes and in many ways were disappointed. We highly recommend this experience for everyone, even if you dont have kids. We bought our tickets online which was cheaper than buying at the gate. ALL of that is included in the price of admission. There is a quaint little train ride that takes you around a pond. There is a long display of birds, there is an elephant look out. We had no idea this park was so expansive! There is a huge water activity area for kids.

When we finished the drive through safari, we decided to park and enter a different section of the park. We drove our own car and it was totally fine. We considered taking the bus tour instead of using our own car, but that wasnt being offered because of Covid either. And even if they were, there is a bypass road so you have the option to skip the monkey section altogether. We had read about the monkeys doing a lot of damage but they were not on display when we visited in Aug/Sept 2021 (because of Covid). We were very concerned about damage to our new car, but none of the animals got too close, with the exception of the buffalo, but they didnt graze the car either. Lots of room to stop and admire, or pass a slower vehicle. Wow! We loved this experience! I thought we would be driving past animals in their enclosures, but we were right IN the enclosure with them…. One of the many highlights for the kids was hearing the Macaw sing a few words of O Canada! We found all staff that we interacted with throughout the day to be professional, kind, helpful and knowledgeable. However, we appreciate the balancing act this presents for park rangers. Driving through the game reserve was a highlight despite not being able to see the Baboons, which we knew ahead of time ( online and posted before we entered the reserve) Throughout most of the drive we were able to get up close views of animals as they meandered in front of our vehicle! It was somewhat disappointing having to wait in a long line of traffic for some vehicles that stopped for excessively long times to view animals ( waited 40 minutes to see giraffes and Rhinos ). The pools were pristine and mask restrictions were enforced in the washrooms / change facilities. The water park was great! Entry was smooth, well organized and numbers were being tracked for max entry. All shows started on schedule and, for the age of our grandchildren, the duration was good. The presenters were energetic, very knowledgeable and keen to educate their audience about the importance of preserving wildlife. We started with the boat tour and then attended the presentations: Parrots, Birds of Prey, Reptiles.

Having a map with the layout of the park would have been helpful but as we learned once inside, maps were not provided due to COVID restrictions. We had reviewed online ahead of time all the attractions, start times, restrictions etc.

We arrived shortly after 11am and left when the park shut down. Weather was perfect - sunny and warm but nothing like the humid days this past summer. We took our 6, 4 and 2 1/2 year old grandchildren and we all had a terrific day.
